It appears to me there is a moss or algae growth on the drive as well as weeds in the cracks. That mossy stuff is like an oil when damp. Maybe thats what you mean by clearing the driveway. Pressure wash that moss off (If thats what it is) and treat the concrete with a preventive solution.

Just like a big truck on a hill going down, once you commit to what gear you'll use,leave it there. Don't get impatient with your pace. Overconfidence because you've done it 20 times can get you in trouble too. (Freezing rain? Take the truck

How would you navigate the driveway if it was a road with a stop sign at the bottom? Do it the same way. You're overthinking this.

Easy, just use the advice I give MX newbies... own the ride, attack the obstacle, let the bike do its job, look where you want to be not what's gonna take you out. The second you even think o'**** you are gonna crash. Point and twist! or in short make that hill your bitch!

Definitely not worried about coming back up, it’s the trip down I’m most concerned with. I’ve ridden on roads this steep, but they either flattened out or went back up.
I’m sure in the end it won’t be too bad and I’ll be making fun of myself for being a baby about it
