Anyone else having the factory Dunlop tires splitting with very little use?
I was inspected my bike last night and the rear tire has a split down the middle. The tire has only a few thousand miles and this is the 4th time in 2 years I've had to replace a tire for this. Even with the wheel & tire warranty, this gets expensive at $50 per time and down time for the work.
What are other brands/model alternatives? After this replacement which I have to do quickly before a weekend trip, I don't see myself sticking with Dunlops.
Several posts/threads where others are experiencing this, too.
Discouraging since I was planning to replace my OE rear Dunlop on a 2020 FLHX with same (because they have some) this Friday for a trip next week. I still have 5/32nds, but the cupping is causing roaring, howling, and vibrating in curves and I’m tired of it.

I experienced this years ago with the factory Dunlops. Switched to the AE dual compound Dunlops and it hasnt happened since.....

If youre experiencing cupping you better figure out whats causing it before you put a new tire on.
