Default 12" or higher bars

Looking at installing 12" LA Choppers Twin Peak bars. Cant seem to get a straight answer on whether or not I will need to extend cables, brake lines, etc. Anyone change their bars on a 2021 with cable clutch?

I don't know about LA Choppers, but KST bars will tell you that any Street Glide (Ultra, etc) 2014 or over, will go up to 12" without cables. You WILL need a wiring extension, but that was only about $35 and SUPER easy to install .... snap, snap.

Just did a brother's 2021 Street Glide with Dominator 12" bars and the stock clutch and brake worked fine. I don't think 14's would work though. I have KST 12" on my bike and the Dominator's are just slightly narrower, but the height seems to be about the same.

I have 12s on my 20 SG and I ran the stock lines but had to extend the harness. I got this plug and play kit from Hill Country Custom Cycles. Absolutely worth the little added cost. Anything more and I would have had to get new lines. I had to reroute them and things got tight.

12s should be fine. we put 14 kst 1 1/2 bison bars on my 21. These bars are wide with a long pullback, had to reroute the cables. It does work, but the clutch cable is tighter than I'd like. Definitely getting new cables when they're available.

This is true. Simply and easy install with 12" bars.

Thanks.

I had 12's from a buddy put on my '17 SGS, nothing needed to install them.
