First time poster here. I’ve learned a lot from you all over the years, and now I have a question I don’t think has been addressed. I picked up a 2019 Street Glide Special on Sunday, and so far I’m having a blast. That said, when I crank up the music, I hear a buzzing/rattling sound. I thought I blew a speaker, but it seems to only be there at speed. I’m wondering if it’s actually the fairing that’s rattling. I’ve attached a couple of pictures to see if you all can tell me if this looks normal. The biggest thing that caught my eye is that the windshield is bowed in at the center screw. If everyone’s is like this, then I’m all good - except for figuring out that damn rattle. Thank you!
Nice ride! I have some bowing on one side of my KW windscreen.
As for rattling, check the plastic piece by the ignition. Mine was rattling and was driving me nuts. I thought it was something inside the fairing. It ended up being the cover for triple trees.

As for the gaps between the windshield and fairing, not normal. Here's a few pics of my '18 FLHXS, absolutely no gap on either side of the center screw.
As for the rattling, it appears you have the Boom Stage II speakers. Someone had your outer fairing off to do so. It's obvious (to me) they failed to install the fairing correctly. What isn't obvious, what else did they fail to do correctly during the speaker upgrade?
I agree with Barneyboy. That does not look right. Quick test would be to loosen the 3 upper bolts, push the outer fairing closer to the inner fairing, and see if the gap goes away. If so, tighten bolts and see if the rattle goes away. If not, some of the other suggestions may apply.
Windshields play a role in how well the outer fairing will bolt up. The thicker, stronger aftermarket shields are stiffer and make for a little stronger support for the fairing to bolt up too. I've seen plenty of new bikes on the showroom floor looking the same way.
The windshield gap looks like it wasn't set the right way after someone got into the fairing. Loosen the two outer screws, the one along the base of the windshield, smooth it out with your hand and tighten them back down again. Do one side at a time. That's how you get it to set flush. I've been in my fairing a few times since buying the bike. I also have the same Boom speakers and do not hear that rattling or buzzing sound. I would be inclined to thing something is loose.
You guys were right about the fairing not being set right. Turns out a screw was missing in the speaker pod on one side, causing the lower part of the pod to vibrate against the fairing itself. I put a screw in and the rattling stopped. I paid attention when putting the fairing back together and everything lines up. Thanks again for the help. Mission accomplished!
