Default Taking an Ultra Fender off

Picked up a vivid black street glide front fender today and plan to install this weekend. Is there anything I need to know before tearing into it? I expect I'll have to terminate the light wires, but are there any other hints / advice? Thanks

You will need a jack to get bike up to remove front wheel, the bolts holding the fender on have bent over lock tabs that cant be removed with tire on bike( or at least without lots of cussing ). After that its just 4 bolts out then 4 bolts back in.

Check your brake pads if they are worn its a good time to replace them, also if yuor jack is narrow taking off the front wheel could cause the bike to tip backwards (it did it to me with my 02 EG and cheap jack, I had it srtrapped on so it didnt fall off ), if you put something under rear wheel this wont be a problem.

Your bike was the inspiration for me. If I remember right, you also slammed the fender when you put it on, but don't recall what you used to do it? Did you change brakets or modify the fender?

I used the lowering brackets from NativeCustomBaggers.com. Ground off the stock brackets with a dremmel, mocked up the StreetGlide fender on my bike, clamped it in place and sent it to the painter to be welded and painted.
Good luck and post if ya need anything.
