You need to be careful. Some of the radios are not 12 volt. Some are only 5 volt. you will need to check this out before you do the orange wire. I just plugged mine into the lighter.
All the sirius sat recivers I've had were 12 volt, the XM's were the one with the reduced 5 something Volts setup 12 volts kill them quick!
wouldn't you just know my luck. I bought a Sirius Starmate 4, and when I went to hard wire it in, discovered it runs on something like 4.5 volts. Installed a cigarette lighter receptical under the fairing and secured the Sirius power cord (that cuts the power from 12 v to 4.5v)to it with wire ties to ensure it doesn't come loose.Dam chinese junk. Oh well, works great now, just a pain.
sirius makes a mount just for a motorcycle, it comes with a built in resistor to drop the volts down from 12 to 4.5. It also comes with a antenna,bracket aux cable for 70 bucks.
