Anybody ever put header wrap on their pipes and then put the heat shields over that? I’m about to install a new set of V&H power duals along with 4” Rineharts and thought if the wrap wasn’t too thick would really cut down on the right side heat.

 

If it's not wrapped too thick the heat shields can go over the wrap.

 

I did that on my 06 EG. Worked great and could not see the wrap with the heat shields on. Not the same bike as yours but I'm sure it would work.

 

I’ve done that on my ‘17 limited. Worked great.
