I have bought three Autozone Duralast batteries and none of them have lasted over 3 years. I have one of them dead now. Looking for a Deka/East Penn now.
I'm confused by the difference in a TX-30L and a TX-30LA. One is 6-13/16 tall and the other is 7-1/2 tall, yet both are listed by application for a Street Glide. What gives? Which is the correct height?
I am not familiar with the TX30L v TX30LA differences.
I found this chart on an Energizer Powersports battery ad. There does seem to be a height difference, but I don't know why. This chart mentions a "17mm height adapter" and I have no idea what that means....???
All else is the same between the two according to the chart.... I'd measure the OEM battery and pick the one nearest in size..
I put a Noco NLP20 lithium battery in my 2006 Wide Glide in 2021. Thing is so light one might think is a empty plastic case. I didn't do voltage checks while starting but observed near zero hesitation on start up meaning the voltage is dropping less than the AGM batteries I used before. I traded that bike off mid October with that battery still operating as new. No experience long term but wouldn't hesitate buying another, weight savings and ease removing installing is a major plus in my opinion. https://no.co/products/lithium

Did you use a tender on them? I've always used a tender and had batteries last a long time. As for the height difference, do you have room for the taller one? What is the height of your current battery?

Some batteries come with a plastic "spacer" to sit the battery on so they are a certain height, if they have to be "X" inches tall, for everything to fit and sit tight, or whatever. Got one with a battery I bought for something... not much to them, just a plastic base it sits on.
this is an example, the one that came with mine was not even this "elaborate"

While I have had good LI batteries. The NLP20 didn't do too well in a 131 FXR TC, 2KW starter, 2 gauge cables bike. It will be tired in a smaller 113 evo...
