Default Street Glide Media Compartment

Would anyone happen to know if the iPhone 13 mini fits in the (2019) Street Glide media compartment, plugged in & with the door closed?

My iPhone 12 mini (which is basically same size as 13 mini) fits with room to spare. I do use a 90-degree usb cable but not sure that's even needed. You should have no issue fitting this phone in the compartment.

I upgraded my iPhone to a 13 pro and had the same concern. It fits (left side only), and the door closes with a regular USB cable.

Yes, it’ll fit with room to spare. My iPhone 12 Pro fits with case without issue.
Are you putting it in the compartment just to have it there, or to connect via USB for CarPlay, music, etc?

Buy once, cry once…this is the ticket. A few members suggested it and it works outstanding for my 19 limited.

Keep the phone in your pocket, jacket…or I have a RAM mount for it on my handlebar.
Works like a champ with iPhone and Boom GTS.

one of the benefits of using a physical cable is that you’re charging the phone while using CarPlay. I’ve heard that wireless CarPlay can be a real battery drain.

Yep. And that CarPlay adapter has a USB connector on the end which I think is to charge…but it screwed up my connection so I let it be.
Spot on…long rides, it’ll drain.
However, if I need to charge my phone I have a cigarette lighter adapter and I just plug that in the fairing and run a cable.
Great point stormin indeed…. LONG rides or if you hop on and have little charge…may not be for you.
The biggest killer of phones is the screen being on, then data pull/push.

I will say this… with several different cables, all higher end …not crap quality, before I used the car2play, I’d be riding along, hit a few bumps (yeah….Michigan roads) and the CarPlay would stop.
With this wireless interface and the phone in the identical spot, RAM mount on my handlebar, same crappy roads…it has never stopped playing once from jarring bumps. Just another side of the coin!

I installed a WHIM couple years ago, long before that device became available.

The reason I asked about fitment is because I've been getting text messages from Verizon with offers to upgrade from my 10 xs Max. They started at up to $350 off for a new 13 and it gradually increased it to $800 off over the last 6 weeks or so. I didn't care much for the size of the 10, but it worked great so I dealt with it. But, with their latest offer it made the 13 mini free. It will be here Tuesday.

Default Tuner?

I recently got a 21 Street Glide Standard,, after 2500 miles, I put RineHart 4 inch slip ons, and screaming eagle air filter, I was told if I didn’t do full exhaust, the tuner is really a waste of money, I love the sound, havent noticed much performance difference, although I am happy so far with the 107,, any opinions on if tuner is needed or would make a difference? Thanks for any advice!

Yes, you should get the tuner, and just so this thread goes off topic even further, don't listen to the weirdos that think synthetic oil is better than a coked up hooker because they're wrong. Plain old dino oil is the best for these tractor motors.
