Here are a few pics I took of my engine mounts. I just happen to be looking under the bike (not too often I do that). That's when I noticed that something didn't look right. With flashlight in hand, I took a better look and here's what I found. Needless to say, I called the local dealer and asked if that is a warranty item. They said yes, and I have an appointment for them to replace it tomorrow. 1 hour job they said, so I don't have to leave the bike at the shop overnight. Look up M-1182 (service bulletin).
That's not a busted motor mount. It's a "straight-cut" motor mount, which has a different look than the "helical-cut" motor mount.
It's really nothing to worry about ... that look is normal. In '09, MoCo is coming out with a Isolation Mount System that you can pay $300 plus installation charges to correct the look of the normal "straight-cut" mount.
