Thank you. This is the point I wanted to verify "Once it is flashed for WHIM the wired head sets no longer function." So I'll have the plugs on the bike but they will be inactive and my wired only headsets will be inoperable. Is there a user selectable choice on the Boom to change back and forth between wireless and wired?
I thought I read that not all Sena's will work on Harley's unless the Sena has the Harley label on it. You would need the Freewire not the WHIM.
All SENA and many other brands will work with the WHIM.
The HD branded SENA will work in Stereo and also allow more on control through HD system. Free wire is a sloppy work around . All SENA head set
I just bluetooth my Cardo to my phone and jumpered the mic pins in the plug to enable car play. Easy peasy, great audio and all the controls at my fingertips
And just to really drive the point home.. it's not just MONO audio. It's seriously degraded low quality mono audio. Seriously, it sounds like the music is being broadcast from the moon on a low power AM radio station.
I tried it with a 20S and ended up getting the Harley branded 20S. It's definitely the expensive way to go but it sounded SO terrible there was no way I was going to make it work.
It's a shame Harley went that route.. other bike makers let you use whatever head you like. But once you get it all in place it does work.
