Default Q about seats?

I know I will get a ton of different opinions here (wich is what I want really) but is there a comfertable solo seat out there than will accept a rider back rest, yet still look's good? I am sure there are but I want some other people's idea's, or advice, so tell me what you think. Oh yea this is for a street glide.

Thanks, KB

Corbin makes a great seat: http://www.corbin.com/harley/flhx/

I used to have a Solo for my Fat Boy...loved it.

Corbin and Mustang are the two that I hear about all the time. Haven't tried them myself but everybody here seems to love them.

Corbin makes a great solo seat which accepts a rider's backrest. They're very firm and take awhile to break in and get used to, but they are great for long rides. Don't judge it by the first ride, though.

I have a Mustang and love it. It is extremely comfortable, and they make one that will accept a rider backrest.

I replaced the saddle on my '04 Ultra with Mustang Ultra seat. It was a bitch for the first 5000 miles. It was hard and made my *** hot. Vinyl seats make my *** sweat on long hauls. When the mustang did eventually break-in, the seat or my *** don't know which one, the ride became pleasant for 150 miles or the next gas stop. I have lost 80 lbs now and now I sit too far back. I'll be shopping for a new seat again.

I'm obviously in the minority here but I like the stock seat on my EG. 500+ mile days are no problem for me or my wife.

I have the stock seat on the '05 Ultra Classic and I'm okay with it. Wife and I did a 450 mile ride (one way) last weekend and it was okay. I've looked at others, but I can't find one that doesn't change the seat height and offers a wider pillon for my wife. The stock pillon is 15 inches and most other seats offer less than that unless you go with the Air Zep which is 17", but way too wide for my inseam (31"). Any recommendations?

We have Corbins on both our bikes, and they have served us well. Have rode a much as 650 miles a day on them. Mustang is also a good seat, I just perfer the Corbin. It is well made, has a real leather seat area rather than vinyl, and looks good.

Regards,

Bill
