I'm having my SE Heads installed next week on my 95" Stage II Street Glide and thinking of doing another exhaust swap. I started with VH Oval Slilp ons, moved to VH True Duals with Ovals, went with D&D Fatcat 2-1, back to the VH duals with Ovals. Now that I'm adding the Heads, I've got the itch to swap the pipes again, even if I don't do it right away.On my 100/100 Fatboy I had a Thunderheader that I really loved.
Questions:
-Anyone have just the Thunderheader mufflers on VH Dresser Headers? That would be easy for me. Any opinions on performance improvement over the VH Ovals? Any gains to make it worth it?
-Anyone have the entire True Dual Thunderheader package? These are new for Rich Products and wondering how the Thundeheader performance attributes and "True Duals" perform.
-If I go the traditional 2-1 Thunderheader on my SG, I'm think of going black. Are they ceramic coated and is there any reason for heat shields with the black pipe?
Anyone with pics of their Thunderheaders setups would be appreciated.
My Dad has the Thunderheader slip-on with VH Headers on his 02 RK and they sound awesome. When I had Rinehart True Duals on my RK his RK sounded better and it would walk away frommine. We both had the same Build.
