Siphon/drain what gas you can and put some fresh gas with Seafoam in it, about 3-4 ozs. The plugs and filter raises a red flag for me. They heavy corrosion on the zinc plating on the plugs is amazing for the bike having 2744 miles and the crud in the air filter is incredible. Take all the covers off and the seat and look in all the nooks and crannies for water /dirty water immersion. Open up some connectors and do the looky loo there also. There was some intense flooding in the New England states last year. Look it over real good. Good luck.
Park it on the side walk with a sign free gas some smack head will come song pretty quickly and drain that tank for you and save you the trouble, then just refill, change your fluids and plugs and roll out!

The bike was not in a flood I know the original owner he is the landlord where I rent my shop he had it in a dirty old garage where my shop is with just a piece of plastic over it

Those plugs also exhibit 'start and rumble' syndrome. The bike gets fired up, the plugs get hot, the bike gets shut off and rolled back into a cold, humid garage. The problem gets even worse if the bike gets covered in 'plastic' as the op states.
Singledad.....stop stressing the little stuff and go ride. Oil doesnt go bad from sitting, fluids dont need to be changed because they have sat for a few years. Its not milk. It doesnt expire after a few weeks. Brake fluid can absorb water, but its pretty evident as contaminated brake fluid looks like mud. Gasoline REEKS when its bad, you will know with one sniff. Honestly, Id pay more attention to your tires. (thats gonna take us down another rabbit hole. 7 year old tires can really *** up your life....)

Worst possible way to store a bike, plastic doesn't allow air circulation and traps moisture under it. If the plugs are the only corroded parts consider yourself lucky.
