I purchased a set of Ohlins shocks off of Howard in 2017 for my 2016 Road King. I always had pleasant conversations with him and he really helped me set up my shocks from day one. I know a lot of people had bad interactions with Howard over the years. Yes, he could be a bit salty at times. However, I always thought he was a very knowledgeable man and I am very sorry for your loss.
UPDATE Howard’s sister called me today , she will be down at some point , she said anyone that had sent stuff to Howard and had not received it back if they can send information so it can be positively identified she will return it , I know in many cases this will be hard to do but because of scammers it will need to be able to be positively identified , I will update you when she will be down , it could still be awhile at this point
Thanks TJ.
Side note…with the blow up sheet and doll…you’re an A hole.
But…you’re my kind of A hole.
I’ve sent my buddy a nice blow up sheep in the mail…and the box on the outside was very creatively labeled.
He may or may not have been sent a bag of di**s a time or two as well.
Ive been trying to reach Howard for the last week. When he didnt respond, I had a feeling something wasnt right. Howard had always been so helpful and quick to respond. I always enjoyed talking shop with him. He was an expert at what he did. Wish he was still around. RIP Howard.
I had some business with HM a few years ago. He was professional and no bs and quite helpful. I found him to be a regular guy. Maybe as a native New Yawka I have thicker skin than some.
R.I.P. Mr M.
Ah man, this is rough. Howard and I met about 8 years ago when I bought my first set of entry level S36's for my '08 FXD. I knew about his rep, and expected it when I called him. At the end of the call, I said to him "you know what? You're really not the a$$hole many say you are" he fired back "that's because you've got a backbone" - We were friends thereafter. We had discussed my growing up in NYC, and from then on I was always "Bronx Mike" to him.
