I have been in contact with Valerie his sister every few days. She plans on coming down to Florida at some point to have services for Howard and take possession of everything. She has assured me if anyones has items there and can prove it she will return them . This is taking her a little work to get done before she will come down because Howard had her name on all property he owned (this part is easy) , however he had no will so legally she can’t take possession of items in his home , in his work shop , 3 vehicles , work trailers or anything else yet. She is going through the legal system to get full power of attorney to allow her access to everything including his financials. Once she has legal authority she will come down . I will be happy to pass any and all information to assist anyone to her . I have a customer of Howard’s and close friend of mine who could assist her looking through his shop for items. You may also still want to contact the Davie Police Department and file with them so they can notify her also. I don’t want to post her contact information without her permission because she is really rattled at this point with the huge task ahead of her , living in New Jersey and dealing with this in Florida is not easy and I am afraid if she received to many calls she may just shut down and help no one.

As a side note David who did the welfare check said the oldest packages left off on his door step were left on March 31, Valerie said looking at his bank statements he withdrew money from Aldi on March 31, so apparently he passed sometime later in the day on the 31st . How UPS and FedEx continued making deliveries for 3 weeks with previous deliveries still left at the front door and not notifying anyone amazes me. We also spoke to people who saw him the weeks before this and they said he was acting very confused and disoriented, why no one stepped in is sad.

FYI, I did email a Sargent at the Davie Police department and nothing came back. I’m going to wait until more is known, her legal hurdles are past her and hopefully this gets traction.

OK just got off the phone with her and she is working with attorneys but apparently without a will it is moving slowly. She said anyone that has items in the shop that they need sent back to them she 100% will do the right thing as long as they can prove it and they can find and positively identify the item . She is worried about scammers saying they have items there when they dont so the more information you provide the better your chances are. Once she is coming down and lets me know I will compose a list and send to her and David my friend in Miami. She will let David go through the shop , locate items if he can , then her and him will look at the list and confirm they are in agreement, and them return them. Hopefully everyone is made whole but again the burden of proof is on you and hopefully the shop is organized so it will be easy. Just an update , Howard’s sister’s attorney called me today , he said the courts are backed way up and getting her appointed over Howard’s estate is taking longer than he liked . He assured me once that is done they will do everything possible to make anyone owed anything whole. He may post on here at that time although I told him I had done so . Also I let him know to date only two people have reached out to me with requests. Thanks
