Fairing Mounted Mirrors
Why would you want fairing mounted mirrors, when you know they get so much vibration that the images are hard to see anyway? We removed them from my girlfriend's Street Glide when we had the inner fairing painted. She is now much happier with the handlebar-mounted mirrors. Plus, when they need to be tighten, you'll have to crack the outer fairing to do it. Just a thought...

I just received the Fairing Mounted Mirrors kit. Included in the kit is a plastic/vinyl template that is supposed to be used to locate the holes to be drilledin the inner fairing. The template is a little vague though, there are a couple of circles with a line through them, and then coming off of the circles are arrows.
My question is, do I drill in the center of the circle, or do I drill at the point of the arrow? Inquiring minds want to know... Thanks in advance.

Can't answer for everybody but here's my take- I followed the instructions mostly but in placing the template I pressed the template down and used masking tape to,secure it in the upper part-Then I used a center punch to locate the center of the drilled hole(1/8" pilot) Then drilled the finished hole to as specified in the instructions-Worked fine for me-Better than stem mounted mirrors any day-had to jockey them around for best coverage but am very satisified with results-YMMV-
Yes....You drill at the end of the arrow.
The mirrors are convex and work great for me....I hate the lever mounted mirrors because they are off-set due to mounting location.
One will give a different perspective than the other and I like it to be symmetrical like the fairing mounted set...
