Very little vibration if any on my fairing mounted mirrors...one way i guess you could think about it...with the motor running which vibrates more the ends of the bars or the fairing itself?

Do the fairing mounted mirrors vibrate so bad that you cant see behind your, or is that one guy full of it.
Never had a vibration issue with the handlebar mounts, no vibration with the fairing mounts (until around 90 mph, at which time the mirrors become a nonissue).

I find no vibration at all on my SG I can see perfectly out of the mirrors, I agree with them being to low though, HD actually has a recal on that, they installed a new inner faring for me with the mirrors mounted higher, put them so the top of the mirror is about level with the top of the faring, they work excellent, much better than the bar mounted ones, and they look 1000 time better as well.

I like the fairing mount mirrors as they clean up the look of the bike. They don't seem to vibrate as much as the bar mounted

Well, I installed the fairing-mounted mirrors this past weekend. I followed the instructions and advice from you guys, and it looks great. I used painters tape to secure the template to the inner fairing so it wouldn't move while I used a automatic punch to mark the holes "at the arrows". I used a 1/8" drill for a pilot hole, them opened them up with the correct size bits.

I have noticed no vibration at any speeds. The only caveat I have is I think they are a little low. I'm a tall guy (6'4") and I see a little too much of my hands in the mirrors. Other than that they are excellent. If I had to do it again I would drill about 1/2" higher from the point of the "arrows".

I need to do something because I cannot see around my shoulders with the stock mirrors. Will this install help?

Before you spend the $, try moving the stems closer to the fairing. It helped alot for me and I'm 6'4"
