Has anyone got Ride Planner to work recently? It doesn't allow me to zoom in whether I use the wheel on the mouse or the +/- sign. It is taking minutes to populate the zoom-in map which makes putting in the waypoints impossible. I tried using Google Maps which is much quicker but when you convert it to GPX using GPS Visualizer it doesn't import into the bike properly. All I get once you open USB is SELECT ALL and you never see the route. When I select - SELECT ALL, nothing happens. What is everyone else using to create rides as I find RIDE PLANNER a **** App. Thankfully, I am an old-timer that, while I can use a computer and boom box, I can read a map and understand North, South, East and West. Just trying to understand why Ride Planner is such a poor design as of late.
I've noticed the same thing. It's been an absolute pain to use for the past few weeks or so.
I've heard basecamp is a pretty good one, but have yet to actually try to figure it out.
Of course once I finally get the process in ride planner down, planning, load onto USB and transfer to the bike... the website goes to ****. I've tried different browsers and nothing seems to help.
Glad I'm not the only one with Map Planner trouble. I used to use Basecamp. It would ask how many hrs you wanted to ride a day and give you approximate daily destinations to shoot for. But now it won't let me plan a trip without being hooked up to my Garmin. It won't let me download any maps. Takes forever to do a trip going through a Garmin. I don't know how to make Ride Planner do that but I understand that it used to. .
