I prefer the 33" myself. love the look of the longer ones but practically speaking, I can see how they would get marred up backing into a curb for example. not to mention walking around the bike. and yes,fisttails bite!
you don't need to spend a fortune on sampsons, etc either. I went with plain old straight fishtails because I liked the look of the old style (narrow) fishtail versus the what I call the sharktail look. don't let anyone tell you that you can't get your engine to run right with them either. All you need to dial that motor in is a tuner and a set of baffles specific to your bike from Big City Thunder and mount the baffles on your head pipe side (not the fishtail side) so you can put any kind of muffler on your bike later if you want something different. just may need to retune it. ifyou want to back to stock, the baffles are easy to remove.
