Are you going to do a stage 1 when you put on the pipes? I kinda like V&H but they may not be loud enough for you. What ever you do get slipons that have removeable baffles, so if you don't like the sound you can change the baffles and the sound. I've read Rush makes a good deep rumble. Rinehart pipes baffles are removeable So that maybe a good choice. Whatever your choice is, enjoy that Road King and thanks for your service to our country.

First of all, thank you for your service. While you're protecting us over there, we'll try to keep home from turning into the Peoples Republik of I Know What's Best For You.
I don't know if it will help, but Vance & Hines web site has some audio clips of their pipes. At least it's a place to start. I don't think the bikes they are taking the audio from are much more than Stage I, because the Basic slip-ons on my high-comp Roadking 95" are quite a bit louder than their example.
