Well, finally sold my 1998 Fat Boy, and now the preparation begins for my new Flhx. About 3 weeks ago, took out an Electra Glide Classic at the demo rides(wait for the Street Glide was too long) and I came away very impressed with the ride and handling of the bike. The seat was especially comfortable. I got to sit on the 08 Flhx and have to say the seat feels way too hard. Dealer told me it was redesigned to accomodate the new 6 gallon tank. I hope I can get used to this seat. I want to get opinions on exhaust choices for the new bike as well as the ABS option. Is it worth it, do I really need it ? Dealer told me that a SERTwill void the warranty. If I only go with mufflers and stock air filter I won't need a down load. Please, any help would be appreciated. Sorry for the long post....
Joe,
Have the dealer show you the demo tape of ABS in action,You only have to "need" it once and it would be worth it.Whats 800 bucks?I have an 05 EGS and I wish it had ABS.I have actually thought about trading just to upgrade.
Cant speak about the other stuff.

I found the seat to be pretty comfortable so far ( and I'm picky about seats). I threw on some Rush 1.75's with SA/AC and a download and it runs and sounds great.
Would you buy a new car without ABS?
My choices include:
SERT download
Reinhart True Duals
Arlen Ness Big Sucker
Works Preformance shocks (12.5")
Avon Venoms
Clearview 8" wind screen
C&C Fastback seat
Hog Tunes speakers
Yes. I bought my last new GM vehicle off the lot without ABS. After many years of ABS equipped vehicles I was concerned I would regret it, but the deal I got made it irresistable (got 11k knocked off a 25k car!rebates and discount). After 4 years without ABS I have become a big non ABS fan. The the amount of feedback through the pedal is much better during hard braking. I was also concerned about snow and ice without ABS, but prefer non ABS even in snow and ice now, which I never would have predicted.
