People claimed they vibrated over 70 mph. I never rode one. Would rubber mount offset this?

I am not against a smooth motor. End of long day, I don't need spine rattled at stop. I am past the juvenile fun of it.

First time I sat on a twin cam i almost walked out because it felt like a Jap bike running. It the Classic Springer look made me buy it. Love my 02. Loved my 16. And had an 05, 08 and an 11. But for me. Pound for pound. The M8 is the better of the 2.
I have been riding harleys for 50 years and have rode shovels to the m8. I liked all the bikes until the M8. It just feels soulless to me but I see a lot of people enjoy them. I will keep my 103 twin cam.

I have enjoyed riding my 2016 SGS. I love everything about this bike except vibration. I’m glad Harley cut down on excessive vibrations on M8.

On Riding long day’s vibration gets to you eventually and is one of the main factors to cause fatigue.

I haven’t test rode M8 but just reading that they cut down vibrations by 70% is a good change. Once I cross 100k on my FLHXS I’ll swap it for M8. Hopefully by then they have new frame and better quality suspension.

Yeah RFG7680 should know many have been around for the shovels & Evo`s - The TC`s might not be the bench mark for sound but if he thinks the M8 is the new benchmark????? I think he will find thats a one sided love story & mainly for those who bought M8`s 1st & 2nd model years. Its a platform meant to keep stock IMHO

The modern twin cam wasnt the Moco first shot at a 2 cam system - one needs to know the history of HD. Honestly & I have a good amount of riding time on the M8 platform heritage & touring line, They are NOT a significant mind blowing up grade - 103 to 107 all i think was done is a bump in Cubes and different gearing to feel more like a big HP gain.......... once you get going & up to speed not a real difference at all. Now, can the M8 platform be upgraded further - Yes, But..... that will cause other problems, That 4 spark plug system is not all its thought to be either, many I know have not changed the top plugs & when they do there a PITA to get out and some have broken causing needed head work.

The real upgrade was the Heritage IMO, 114 & a new suspension, but even the Moco couldnt get that right with faulty fasteners, basically they took the Yamaha star design & incorporated it in to the M8 Heritage.

Vibration on the TC`s for the Heritage anyway on mine start at around 75 - 80, past 80 none, 72 mph is the sweet spot, The New heritage is not much better - good luck when that time comes to pick a new bike.
