He also doesn't clearly state that the multi-tread compound technology featured in the Dunlop tires is only available in the rear tires.

Touring. Still like em. Lots of folks recommended the Dunlop Elites, BTW.

Yep...same as when someone says their vehicle tows so good that they cannot even tell the trailers back there. Or that their tires grip better in the rain than other new tires do when it is dry. Everything after that loses credibility. Everyone exaggerates, but when someone is asking for real advise you should keep it real.

I always keep it real. I posted earlier on this one and said that my American elite grip better in rain then they do on drive pavement compared to some other tires.
I’ve had Metzler 888, Dunlap, 402’s, and commander 2’s.
The American elite tire is the only one that I personally felt safe driving on wet pavement instead of being gripped by tar snakes in different road conditions.
In my opinion, we all have opinions. However, in the same sentence, I personally will not run a different tire again by choice.
I could take your statement on this post and find it kind of offensive, rain versus dry Road, I just consider the source.
Take care, and if anybody does try the American elites, on my 2000 electric glide, they work fantastic 2 up and loaded heavy.
some may consider it a little heavy, but my wife and I travel with enough gear, and how much we weigh together, over 510 to 520 pounds loaded. So that’s a total of 1400 something pounds on these tires with two psi over max in each tire, we usually run 3000 to 3500 miles a trip, and we’ve never had a problem, and with me driving, I am completely relaxed, compared to the other tires that I’ve tried. AND THAT’S THE TRUTH. TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT, UNTIL YOU TRY TO YOU JUST DON’T KNOW, HAVE A GOOD FORUM DAY.

I was referring to this statement from post 17:
"Like I said, American elites are better at 70 mile an hour in wet rainy weather than this dog stock Dunlop or commander tires on dry pavement."

Now maybe my reading comprehension is bad or maybe your composition skills are lacking. I read that sentence and said BS. No need to be offended. Thats what we do...filter through these posts, use what we can and filter out the crap. I currently ride on american elites and have had them on softails and touring. I agree they are great tires. I've had other brands including MCIIs. No problems with any. Some lasted longer. What I can say is that they all felt great compared to the old tires that they replaced.
