My pak is coming this afternoon. Once I put it on I’ll try to remember to take a pic.

I didn’t have the right size zip ties, but you wrap it around the “piston” on the clamp, pull it tight around it, clip the excess, so the only way to get the pak off is to have needle nose pliers to twist it off.

I have them. Just about all of the poor reviews are people who can't read directions. You only use one locking latch per accessory, and they're trying to use both of them on a tour pack. They work just fine as long as your reading comprehension isn't in the negative...

I bought the Hogworkz color matched King tour pak. https://hogworkz.com/color-match-har...-hardware.html
I have at a guess 12,000 miles on it, and It has been a good unit BUT, I just noticed with this last trip a fracture on the bottom at the back but its not all the way thru.
IF it were made of fiberglass (and its not) I would say a layer is pealing, but I am not sure what its doing YET.
And to be honest and for full disclosure: I use it! as in It's full and a big Nelson Rigg NR-300 is sitting on the rack on top of it, just did 3500 mile tow week tip and after that is when I noticed it so there that.

maybe IF I have to buy another I will make a bottom plate that supports the WHOLE bottom of it, maybe....

That looks good @gonemad ! I think I just need to go to the dealer and see them in person to gauge the size. I would prefer to avoid King Pack. It's just too big. I looked it up on HD website and it's over 4k cu in. That is bigger than my 3400 series Saddleman bag! I think if I wanted to run one full time, I wouldn't do it with King Pack. Yours looks like the perfect size. I could fit plenty for longer weekend trip and still look nice and pull it off full time.

My YouTube feed is full of videos about Tour Packs now...I have issues with over analyzing things like this. lol

I ride about 90% solo and have had my chopped H-D TP about 8 years now. It goes on and off several times a year and has gone coast-to-coast a couple times. No rattles and all hardware is on solid. For those getting the TP, I also suggest getting the the premium liner. I like the pillion space for my main luggage when traveling or strap on an H-D day bag to house my FF helmet and rain gear. I also use the day bag as a daily "trunk" on the back rack.

Here's my '14 chopped TP on my '13 King.

Real tough and important decisions lol. Chopped looks so much better, and it is just little smaller than my Saddleman 3400 series luggage. King is over 5k cubic inches which is huge.

But then I am thinking, I will only use this for long trips. Even if it’s bigger, who cares what it looks like that one time per year and extra space is always nice to have. So there is that.

I would not plan on riding with TP full time and 99.99% I ride solo.

The agony in deciding what to do is killing me lol
Always nice to have the extra room and not have to carry your helmet with you during stops or leave it on the handlebars for thieves. I ran the chopped for a few years and now the King and would not or could not go back to anything smaller.
