A rack on the tourpak will block that CD light. I am now shopping for a use airing and light. I no longer use the rack alot. So most times the light is still visible

Looks like a great option if cost is of no concern, especially for people stuck on the fence between King and Chopped TPs. Appears to gain some overall capacity but loses depth (wider and flatter). Could be a problem if someone is looking to stow a full helmet, but not an issue if you want to carry a few more beverages for the hot days.

Fortunately for me, they don't have my color listed in the drop down and I don't feel like being responsible for my own paint... so one less option to be overwhelmed by :P. But I do like that it is different and the integrated lights are rather nice.

OK, I have now been to the dealer and looked closely at the “Harley” King tour pack.
And just to restate I have the Hogworkz King tour pack (bought mid 2021) and would say am very satisfied with it. I am NOT saying they are perfect as the one person on here which seem to have a very bad experience with them, to him I say bummer, sounds like a very bad experience and I would take that same position if I had that experience with them AND you are welcome to your opinion, ALL persons and Business screw up! Here and there heck even HARLEY!.
But as to the difference between the two brands Mine the Hogworkz and the Harley tour pack and specifically as commented to by some the “Thickness” of the tour pack walls that so impress them…..
EXACTLY THE SAME! It would take a micrometer to see if there is any difference!!!
AND The materials which is “PLASTIC” so SAME, looked the same “Felt” the same! And to be specific here also I am talking the 2014 and up tour pack!
In short IF you want to pay the premium price for the Harley (because you think Harley is better!) as opposed to the lesser aftermarket price for a Hogworkz OR Advanblack brand Tour pack (I am assuming on this as I don’t have one!) then your also of course welcome to do so BUT as for me, I am glad I save a lot of money and would and will do it again…

All things in consideration, and budget permitting....it would be H-D Tour Pak and other parts for me. I turned down every aftermarket brand of saddlebags available in favor of the H-D dropped bags. No judgment on others and their preferences. Choice is good.

Without a doubt. All of my research lead me here. HD all the way

If I didn't do 5000 miles, and 2-3 weeks on my long trips, I might think differently. I am fortunate to have a few friends that made these mistakes already, and a cracked Tour Pack that lets the rain in makes you wish you had spent the cash.

I am anxiously waiting for our trip in May! It will be the maiden voyage for the RikRack set up with the new bag. Hoping I made the right choice!

I think it's no brainer to go with HD if budget permits. I got a quote from HD and went to AB website and put the setup in my cart. The difference between the AB and HD (in super rare and limited edition Vivid Black color) is $947.

HD: $1840 which includes taxes
AB: $893 shipped

The quotes include same items for both. Chopped tour pack, mount rack, backrest and metal plate.

This whole topic is so amazing to me lol.. because 2 years ago, I swore I would never even entertain any stupid tour packs on my bike. Don't want my bike look like geezer glider! and here I am now....month into analysis paralysis. First world problems...

I would hazard: 9 out of 10 people who debate adding a Tour Pak end up using it frequently and seldom (or never) remove it. I've heard plenty of "don't know how I ever got along without it" statements. Incredibly useful storage and definitely not a visual negative for most.

I put a chopped HD pak on the ‘20 Street Glide I sold this past summer. Bought the Road Glide four months ago and decided I was going for a different style. And what did I do? Put a chopped pak on it last week, and taking off the extended brake pedal I put on two months ago so I can install hard lowers when they get here soon.

It’s the gloss black Kuryakyn extended brake lever for bikes without lowers. I expect to have it off the bike next week when the less extended pedal for bikes with lowers arrives. PM me a zip code if that’s something you are interested in and I’ll give you a price shipped.
