I ordered an HD two tone with pinstripe tour pak Reef Blue/Vivid Blac on 12/16. Shipped on 12/27. Woo Hoo!
is yours chopped in the two tone? I have the 22 street glide special in midnight crimson and black. they show the full tour pack in those colors but dealer says not in chopped
I purchased a chopped tour pac from Advanblack 4 years ago, I ride a 2019 RGS in Candy Hot Rod Red Flake, I admit I was very concerned about them colour matching this colour, however it turned out my worries was unfounded.
Fast forward 4 years and I discovered for some reason my tour pac had split around the base, I was horrified when I discovered this, didn't know how it could have happened and the cost to replace it.
Anyway, I took pictures and contacted Advanblack to see if they had any explanation (I never overloaded it). Their response was a shock...... They said my tour pace was out of warranty, BUT they would replace it free of charge, I just needed to confirm colour and required latch colour and agreee to pay shipping.
I thought wow, of course I agreed to pay shipping and it arrived a week later, I checked how much it would have cost me to replace it.... $959 + tax and shipping.
I cannot speak highly enough of Advanblack, they could have easily said sorry not our problem. instead they stepped up and replaced it free of charge

My local dealer (a large one) told me on two different occasions a couple of months apart that the black panel would be on lid of the chopped pak.
It wasn’t. It’s on the sides, and I had to wait to receive it to find out (which I was still happy with). I never saw one like that before till someone posted a picture of a red/black 2021 with the same paint pattern a month or two ago.
I ordered mine right under the wire from Utah Harley last month, before they had to shut down that portal like the other dealers had done.
I would hazard: 9 out of 10 people who debate adding a Tour Pak end up using it frequently and seldom (or never) remove it. I've heard plenty of "don't know how I ever got along without it" statements. Incredibly useful storage and definitely not a visual negative for most.
When I got my first bagger I was 33 years old. I got a lot of crap doing so. As my buddies rode shoppers, cafe bikes or sport bikes.
First couple months I'd carry stuff for them when asked. Then one one weekend trip I decided to not carry anything for anyone but me. Some actually got mad. I laughed. I put 10k on that bike in 3 months. Many 800-1000 mile days.
The trunk is useful to me. Saddle bags are also. I like the looks of the stripped down bikes. But do not find them useful. Perhaps as a second or third bike, maybe. But not as a primary bike.

I might suggest getting the base plate. With passengers leaning against it and the shaking, that plate relieves most of the stress.
