I have a 2012 Street Glide and the ignition switch is out of alignment. I know I can remove the switch and fix it or replace it. Unfortunately, its in the fork locked position. So I cant straighten the front wheel to get at the screws to remove the switch.

I have the alignment tool and managed to unlock the forks. In the Run position nothing happens. In the ACC position the cruise control buttons light up, maybe more dimly than normal. Battery is fully charged. I figure the switch is bad

Take it apart - very simple. More than likely it's still out of alignment.
Note: the video below is good, but he's wrong on where the wave washer goes. Just pay attention when you take it apart. Pretty easy.
I use a short piece of 1/4 copper pipe smashed about 2 and bent a 90 deg handel at other end. Used it many times. Cant take credit for it. Saw it on this firum many years ago
if out of alignment just stick it in and turn until it unlocks

I made the same tool 10 years ago and have used it all these years without fail. Good tech tip.
i bought a new switch. Problem now is I cantremove the old one. Appears the handle bar clamp is in the way
@Top6222 Loosen the bolts for the lower handlebar clamps and that should give you enough room to flex the bars in the bushings.
Maybe read this thread. You also may need another specialty tool.
