The video below is the way I was planning on going but I thought I’d inquire as to what other’s have tried.
From this video it looks like the “tool” shown is probably the best way to go.
The good thing is a I have 2 sets of rims so that I can swap tires without being down for too long.
However in the past I’ve neglected my bearings which is why one of my mine got destroyed.
I’ve since ordered a Pit Posse kit but that doesn’t help getting a race out so I’ll be a puller tool to the Pit Posse kit.
Actually the puller is for steering wheels but obviously it can be used for pulling tapered bearing races.
However even with non-tapered bearing races there’s the bearing track in the race that I’m thinking the tool could grap onto in order to tap out the race.

I’ll let all know how it works out.
Finally got around to seeing if the puller that I bought can get just a bearing race out.
Well it took a few whacks but it knocked it out just fine.
I also have the Amazon tool in the blue box.
Second time using it yesterday and while it is capable of doing the job, its not the best model.
I hate that the length of the collet shaft is a bit too short to allow the rear, sprocket side bearing to be removed without first removing the sprocket.
It all fits, but you cant tighten the nut to extract the bearing if you cant get a wrench on the nut and the collet.
My version (purchased in 2017) of George's Garage wheel bearing tool is also machined incorrectly. I just turn the dies around. Maybe the new version is machined correctly.

Well my George's garage puller/installer kit purchased in 2013 is also machined incorrectly, bummer.
I will now flip it as I get close to the spacer.
Does anyone just sell the correct 25mm install tool?
I see Jim's has one but it is the same one that is in my George's set.
George's has the 25mm set by itself but is currently out of stock. https://www.georges-garage.com/produ...r-shaft-pilot/

George`s Garage sells the correct tool...He may give you a break since the first tools he made were incorrect.
