Here are pictures of the Jims wheel bearing tool set I just received (tool no. 939 & 958)
The dies are completely flat:
If you look closely on the tool set's instruction sheet, the dies appear to have at one point had some type of a shoulder. I'm wondering if Jims caught wind of this issue and also revised their product.
What is interesting is that the instructions seem to show a bearing installer with the lip on the outside but not on the inside which is wrong. The received parts show flat which is fine..
