Default Drivers backrest adjustments help needed

On my 2012 Electra Glide I always felt the top edge of the backrest was what was giving me the most support and I would rather have the complete or more of the pad against my back. I have pulled the seat and had the mount all the way forward. Looking for recommendations on where to position the mount for the backrest or if I should just bend the backrest itself.
To me the father back the mount is the higher the pad would be and not much change in the angle of the pad itself in moving the mount back farther.

No, manual adjustment by a screw on back side and 4 different positions for the base.
I had a friend who had the same issue and he bent the 2 inserts that go into the base. I tried to slide the base back but it was so hard to squeeze the inserts and slide them into the mount, I moved it back.

The screw on the back is going to give you the angle you want. The different holes in the base put you forward and back in the seat. And the vertical holes in the mount put the pad height were you want it. I've always had a hard time reaching down in the seat to adjust the height. There's no trick to making it easier.

I had to adjust the mount on one of my early baggers, I put some flat body washers under the mounts as spacers to change the angle of the mount, It helped a little.

Now that is an idea... that just might help the angle that back rest.

Gf hated getting on the bike with it. I think it made it worse for me, putting me wrong spot. I took mine of years ago and have rode bigger trips then most without it. Some people's back and physical ailments might like it.

I quit using highway pegs too. Felt it put pressure on hips
