I'm having a problem downloading the latest software update on my radio. I have downloaded the latest software onto a USB stick but for some reason my radio won't download the update. I even tried two other USB sticks but none of them are working. Any ideas? I've done it before with no problems but this time it just won't take the in download.
Usually when there’s an issue updating the radios software it’s file structure (the .iso has to be on the root of the drive, not in a folder) or it’s the drive’s format…
since you said you have the file structure right, you might try formatting your drive again (FAT32 or exFAT), then put the .iso file back on the root again and see if it works then.
When this last update came out I had an issue getting it to update for the first time… using my Mac like always. Grabbed my Windows laptop, did a quick format of the drive, put the .iso on it and all was good.
