An alternative to the Cigar Lighter is made by Powerlet.

There parts are mil-spec, have great stregnth and wear forever.

Might want to take a look at their "stuff" next time you want to add electrons to the bike

The part # for the pig tail that plugs into the connector under the seat is 70264-94A. That is what my local stealer said it was. I was asking about one about an hour ago.

do you have any trouble with the plug sticking out to far and hitting the tank when the handlebars are pulled to the left?

ORIGINAL: Fandango6

My GPS is mounted VIA a "Ram Mount" on the left handle bar, so I just run a cord to the cig lighter plug.

I use that plug on the left side of the tank formy GPS. I traced the wire and it is a fused direct run from the battery so I don't see how it could effect anything else.

Has anyone used the Accesory Connector under the seat on an Ultra? I was thinking about using it for my GPS.
There are TWO powerpoint connectors under your seat on the ULTRA. One is the ACC connector that is wired to the Acc switch on your fairing cap, and the other is the B+ connector that is wired to your ignition switch.

The B+ is a single place "packard style" connector, and has "positive" power applied to it when the bikes ignition is switched ON. You can plug your hot wire into it and ground your negative wire to the grounding studs under the seat.

And as already been said, you also have the spade type connectors to the left of your radio under the fairing. I would use those since the the GPS is going to be mounted on or near the fairing, and running wires will be much simpler. (Buy a connector plug set at radio shack and place it at the fairing gromett)

It's not difficult to remove the fairing and it's a much cleaner look!
