Today, I took delivery of a new 2023 Road Glide standard! Officially part of the Geezer Glide club. This bike is FAR and away a better ride than the 2017 Road King it replaced, at least in my opinion
While the Road King shares the same base chassis as my new Road Glide, the fairing is on a different plane of existence better at splitting the wind. I had some pretty violent buffeting in my helmet coming off the RK windshield. Dont mind a little wind, but I was getting headaches after longer rides because of it. Nothing but smooth air now and thats with the tiny windshield. Klockwerks windshield will be going on soon to make it even better.
Also came with RDRS and while I was hesitant about it at first, Im glad its on my bike. Got caught in a severe thunderstorm earlier this year (Arizona) and I would have loved the rain mode on the Road King. Seriously it was super dicey and not pleasant in any way. This bike is my daily ride and Ill take the help for foul weather. Also, because of the RDRS and ABS, it DROPPED my monthly premium by $30 versus the Road King (ABS only). Lol
Cant wait to get past break in and really stretch her legs. First order of business: install my highway pegs and install my Screamin Eagle slip ons!
