The V&H with the quiet baffles are still pretty darn loud. They have a much deeper sound than with the normal baffles and they create a little more backpressure which equals more low end torque,I definitely did notice it in the seat of the pants! Never really heard the RH true duals yet. But i've heard they sound good. But i'm very partial to V&H pipes anyways. Always been perfect fit and finish, unlike that of rineharts.
So without installing or owning a set of Rinehart T/D`s your making this statement.
I just installed mine and have no fit or finish problems. Like I said earlier, the tips have been changed. So far so good.
I also thing the biggest problem for tip discoloration is improper tuning. To much heat from a lean motor. IMHO/.02
It really doesn't matter what others think/do. It's your bike and you are the one that needs to be happy. The quiet baffles cuts only the loud bark and deepens the sound. If you like real loud RH will do it. I have never had a set of RH but have heard them so I can not comment on their products. I always get better mpg with V&H and never a problem with them. Make you own decison. I would consider going to a hang out and hear both for yourself
