Default Purchased Red Sears Lift/need help

I purchased a red Sears lift a few months ago. Tried to use it to clean the bike other day. I have a 07 Street Glide with stock shocks. I can't get the lift all the way under the bike. Anyone have the same problem? What is the fix, too late to return. Any help appreciated.

2 blocks of 2x10 wood stock. One under each tire a smaller block to go under the jiffy stand. Jack will slide right under.

Or have a helper to stand the bike up a bit to lift the off-side frame rail high enough ta clear. Then again, Sears is usually pretty good about returns...they have another one that folks have said WILL clear the rails...

I have the same lift. With my last Softail (lowered front and rear), I would ride it up on to 2 pieces of 2x12 and have a buddy or my g/f slide the jack under it while I straddled it. They just don't get low enough for some bikes.

If you're solo the block under the jiffy (kick) stand will keep the bike level so that you can get the jack underneath the bike... If you have someone to help you, they could just hold the bike upright...

From the right side of the bike grab the throttle grip with your right handand lift it off the jiffy stand while useing your left hand to wiggle it under the frame.
Make sure it's all the way down.

I used to put a 1/2" piece of wood shelving under the rear tire but I found that I can use the jack without any wood blocks.

With the bike on the jiffy stand, wheel the jack under the bike from the opposite side, withthe rear pad of the jack inside the frame crossmember, until it stops. Don't try to force it any further. Grab the throttle grip and slowly pull the bike towards you (to get it more upright)as you push the jack further under the bike.

Piece of cake.

Thats what I want to do with my jack, figure out how to raise it up beforeI can get the jack under it to raise it up.

Be carefull the Sears jack is very unstable!

Thats what I want my $20,000 bike lifted up on!

Had both the Sears (both types) and a Torin. Got tired of the instability and unsafe operation and purchased a J&S. What a great jack, no wobble solid as a rock even up all the way. www.jsjacks.com. Well worth the money!!!!!

Have the three jacks as mentioned above, will give them to anyone that will pay the $100.00 freight to ship them, may use them as a boat anchors.
