I love frame mounted fairing. It translates into less fatigue, I don't brace for impact seeing incoming semi on 2 lanes, it goes through wind like hot knife through butter

Yes, but it is easily remedied. Klock Works comes to mind. The taller you are, the more likely you'll feel it. What you don't get, is the wind coming in from the bottom and in front of the tank.

Depends. For me yes. I am 6'2" and sit pretty tall the way my bike is setup. I also run a full face helmet a lot. A taller windshield really helped with buffeting but with my 1/2 helmet it is a non issue.

uh oh. it all starts with a little flirt. then the next thing you know, it's a full blown obsession.

been riding roadglides since 2010. even converted the wife in 2012. now neither of us can imagine riding a bat wing. we've been on rides with people who, when we stop somewhere, remark how 'brutal' the wind is. we just look at each other, 'what wind?'

I've changed my stock windshield pretty fast after purchase so, to be honest, don't remember, don't think there were any. I don't have any with my current recurved one. It was a really nice change after my RK, when at 50+ it felt like my head was going through a cement mixer

I loved my RGS. If I buy another touring bike someday, the shark gets the nod.

[QUOTE=6113_;21198915]I do like the look of a Road Glide, the only thing that held me back is it feels as if everything in front of me is in the next zip code.

I am just getting used to the long distance to the fairing from the seat. I gotta say, I'm loving my bike. My 2020 has the older Boom Box 6.5 with the push buttons on each side. The sun washes out the panel when riding, but I don't really care. The tach and speedo are easily seen with just a glance.

So, buy the RG, you'll love it!

thanks gentlemen!!! I'm 5'7" shouldn't be a problem for me, but if it is, I'll throw a Klock Werks on

Good luck Scott with your decision and purchase.

I wish I had been bitten by the shark sooner. We just completed a four day 500 + mile ride in the western Carolina mountains that also included 200+ miles of I-40 and these bikes handle amazingly well.

I own both a batwing and a shark now and out on the highway the shark is king.

For me I have no problem reaching the screen if needed. Usually touch it to access the information section. Otherwise I am always using the the hand controls.

It took me a few hundred miles to get comfortable with the Road Glide. Now I prefer it.

The stock 114 on our Street Glide gets the job done very well and is really fun to ride. However the 117 is hard to beat. This RG is stock except for a Khrome Werks head pipe and PowerVision tune. It is a strong running bike. It runs far better than my previous 117 Stage 3 with 498 cam and SE tune. There is clearly something to be said for aftermarket tunes.
