Does anyone know if there is a comfortable seat on the market that will lower the rider about an inch without pushing the rider forward? The bike in reference is a 2018 Road Glide Ultra. I guess as I get older, Im starting to shrink because I cant flat foot while stopped. Thanks in advance.
I bought a bike where the guy had local place do custom foam, lower and forward. Hated it. My knees did not like being forward. If you need to be forward moving bars is better, but more work.
OP, Mean City Cycles can modify your existing seat if you want to go that route.
I have thought about Mean City but I dont know what their turnaround time is. Also I know the shipping is going to be an arm and a leg. As a retiree from a major overnight shipping company, I get a huge discount but with the size of the package, it will still be expensive. I found that out when I shipped a paint set to Florida for custom paint back in 2007.
I have thought about a Mustang Lowdown seat but reviews are all over the place. Thanks for the suggestion.

I dont need to be moved forward, jut an inch or so lower. My bars are ok where they are.
Not sure why lowering would push you forward, as you asked. I like corbins myself, they lower you probably a half inch. I surely would not send a seat in, even locally in summer. Once they got it, they got it.

Dont mind him. He just posts to read his own comments.
Most people have him ignored. Not sure who let him back. Looks like I have to add him to the list again.
The 2pcs mustang touring seats will do exactly what you are after. They will move you back and down. I have and currently do run them on both my touring bikes. The one set is sitting on it's 3rd bike.
The one piece seats they offer DO NOT position you the same way the 2pcs ones do..

I have never been able to flat-foot any motorcycle I've owned and I think it's very overrated. Just develop your skills in that regard. This includes my current Road King, previous Goldwing, BMW R1200RT, FJR 1300, and other heavy bikes. That being said, I find the Road King OEM seat to be surprisingly comfortable and about an inch lower than the Ultra/Road Glide Limited seat (which I have and have used so I know from personal experience).
