1 cent worth,
As much as nice paint and screaming eagle emblems look nice and cost alot. I am more envious of the guy with dirty nails driving an old shovelhead or panhead that knows every part of that bike and is proud and keeping it on the road. That's why your quiet buddy doesn't say much, doesn't have to. Every real enthusiast or even weekend warrior knows when they see or hear that shovelhead potato potato that someone has skill, does not even matter if it wins a drag race, it doesn't have to.. I can get a loan and go to the dealership tomorrow and buy a new bike and brag how great it is like any idiot with a dollar or two..or pay a builder to assemble a radical big wheeler or low rider. Just not the same in my eyes. See it on everything with a motor, cars, boats, snowmobiles.. Hardly matters. Most crap cars on the road have more HP than an old muscle car, still rather drive the old muscle car then a 300hp GMC Acadia.

JMO, He's proud of the cvo, but it still has a salvage title. Maybe he rebuilt it himself and proud of that, IDK, but once that fiction in the letter gets out, who then looks the fool when it is found not to be true?
