Isolated Drive System Sprocket Kit

Introduced on the '08 Touring models, the Isolated Drive System improves rider comfort and ride quality by dampening the mechanical noise and vibration caused by the engine's torque pulses. The rubber compensation elements in the sprocket act like a cushion, absorbing the power pulses from the engine. With the IDS installed, the motorcycle feels more refined, and is quieter while accelerating, shifting and cruising. Kit includes sprocket, compensator bowl, and installation hardware.

ultra- the baker fix and the ids are two completely different mods- in two completely different locations. my question is this: does the baker fix actually fix the problems with the transmissions with the IDS merely masking the problem OR is it the other way around?
The Baker F6F changes the 5th gear from a straight cut to a helical cut to quiet the 5th gear whine and alsoclaims to reverse the side load thrust, since the Baker fix has the gears going the opposite direction, that the helicalgears place on the transmission and/or door.............so in essence it does nothing for the 6th gear clatter, but does claim to quiet the 5th gear whine.
