Does anyone know the official name of the valve used on this air shock pump. I believe it's made by progressive suspension. When you screw it on the valve stem you keep tightening and keep tightening till pop it connects with virtually no air loss. Same when you unscrew.
Thank you for responding. Searching this returns other items not this one. Closely guarded secret by progressive I suspect. This is the pump https://www.progressivesuspension.co...ini-gauge-pump I'm looking for a professional tire gauge inflator/deflator with this valve, I believe I first need to know the name of the valve.

Hmmmm. Not sure I follow. Boomer mentioned the type of valve used in the H-D air shocks. The valve adapter pictured in #1 is sometimes referred to as an air chuck.

If you're looking for a tire gauge inflator/deflator with a zero loss chuck, Google "Jaco Lightning Series". Much easier to use than a screw on chuck. Push it on, it automatically locks onto the tire valve. Press a button to release with no measurable air loss.

Some of the connections to the Schrader type valve stem seal before opening the valve. And when removing, they close the valve before unsealing. Hence the no loss air pump. Motorcycle air shock have a very small air bladder. Releasing when using the usual air chucks drips the PSI in the Bladder significantly.
Maybe when you are older, you'll have more experience and understand how things work.

air chuck on my air compressor for several years that does something similar. Barneyboy mentioned this. There are others and are referred to as an air chuck.
Most are familiar with the air chuck with a stationary chuck pin.
