If you're looking for a tire gauge inflator/deflator with a zero loss chuck, Google "Jaco Lightning Series". Much easier to use than a screw on chuck. Push it on, it automatically locks onto the tire valve. Press a button to release with no measurable air loss.
I have an understanding on how some of these connections work. I use to work with an aircraft company in my younger days and they referred to these as an air chuck when inflating plane struts.
I've been using this air chuck on my air compressor for several years that does something similar. Barneyboy mentioned this. There are others and are referred to as an air chuck.
Most are familiar with the air chuck with a stationary chuck pin.
"That just seals well during usage. Still looses air during disconnect." - I was corrected. I also ordered two.

The one I linked is a 90* Jaco and the QR piece rotates 360*, but that dual 360* Barneyboy has is better IMO. Comes in handy for airing up the rear and front wheels. I can also confirm no hiss when released.
