Taking my 07 Ultra in for it's 5000 mile service and wonder if I should have the software upgrade done on the radio? Anyone have problems with their radio after the dealer did this?
Is this a free update or will they charge for this? if so what have you been charged. Thank's
Don't remember where I got it I am sure it was on internet. But I upgraded mine myself. Just save to a disk and follow instructions. I know its not a lot of help me not knowing the source, but I bet someone on here does.
Can someone tell me why i would need to upgrade my radio , I have a 2006 Ultra Classic , AM/FM/CD/CB , everything works fine. What does the upgrade do for me.
Is there software available to enable the rear channels on a Street Glide?
Thanks,
Frank
Yes there is a upgrade, but only the dealer can do it for you. They will charge you. You will need another wiring harness also. I would love to have one of these radios off an ultra to play with. I wonder if I could extract the software and make it available. This is a senseless way to make money from the expensive T-Shirt stores.
Thanks guys , but my question is , is the only reason to upgrade because you have a problem? So there is no reason to upgrade unless you have problems. Is this correct ?
