Several years ago (10+), there was a fella who posted a link to his videos of a trip he took to the Arctic Circle sign. He had lost a friend to cancer, I believe, and they had previously only dreamed of such a trip. In honour of his friend, he made the trip solo. If anybody knows what I'm talking about, please let me know. I would love to watch the series of videos again. There was some reference to "Atlas Shrugged" if I remember correctly.
Thanks !!
That's the guy!!! (Shrug) Thanks very much!
Brotherinlaw is up here in the Great White North visiting from Dallas and I was telling him about the video. He plans on doing the ride next summer and invited me along. Might have to start doing squats to get the ol bum ready.

If you can tour you can tour, nothing to do with your butt. Back is more of an issue. I did 500 mile days mostly on my 9k mile trip, which is my normal standard, with a couple 600s thrown in. If you are not used to touring, it could be interesting. Not saying age has not effected me, it was over 10 years ago myself.
Then add rain and cold. I lucked out, wasn't awful cold, I don't think it was in 30s. A day without gravel, is like a day without rain.
Most of this will be in your head. 100 mile between stops on Alaska Highway is pretty normal, or between places to stop.
I was following a guy on a sportser before I went up, who posted to his site. Videos were not so common. Actually I am not huge fan of videos. I would rather read, than watch 10 minutes

You should do it! It's beautiful country (at the right time of year) and if you make the time to truly enjoy the sights, it will be a ride to remember.
I have been up an down that road many times, and on a bike, you want to try and squeeze in extra days instead of 600 mile race days from fuel stop to fuel stop.
