My dad was a fireman in detroit. Dodge would let him buy cars at cost. That is how I was raised.
If you want a honda, I really do not understand unless you are racing dirt bikes.
OK a power washer or a genator.

You guys can make all the hard core Harley owner cracks you want... GW is FAR superior to anything Harley can put up for the serious road rider. Sorry... that's the real truth guys. Like many of you, I say "so what", my RKC is what I want; shakes, bumps, noise etc. Will I ever swap...no, but I know they're the best.

Go!!!!Buy one !!!
Those old liesthat they're sooooooooooo superior . . . is wrong. They are over rated like most all japanese vehicles. The japs have the American public so fooled . . . It's sad. When you see what maint costs are compared to a Harley (or honda cars vs. GM or Ford) it's laughable. You even look wrong at a honda accord and it needs a timing belt and a water pump. Same with the bikes. Over rated plastic JUNK!!! Saw a GW on the way home from wk today. Ugliest thing I saw all day.

PLAINFIELD, CT !!!!! Damn I lived there before I came to Texas.... It is Excallibur Motorsports.... Shop location is 3 years or so old... but they have been in business for quite some time. They have a little track where they have some small races and stunt bikes.

Suggest to your neighbor that, before he does anything on the Wing, he also take a look at the Yamaha Royal Star Venture. I have test driven both of them, and found the Venture much more comfortable for the driver. The Wing forces you into a squirrelish "sit up and beg" position, while the Venture sits like a cruiser. Also,it just looks more like a motorcycle and notlike "Tupperware on wheels."

As a Harley enthusiast for over 20 years, I have enjoyed the wrenching as much as the riding. My 99 Road King has over 114k miles. Yes, I ride. Three years ago I doubled my commute and now work downtown DC. I bought a BMW RT for the task. You guys that "think" the Honda is the greatest obviously haven't been on the RT. My wife HATES the BMW, HATES the ride, HATES the style, HATEs the ergonomics, etc. But if you are looking for high tech touring the Beemer may be a better choice. Too bad Harley didn't learn from BMW. The boxer has been around since the 20s. Like Harley, the same basic configuration still exists. Unlike Harley, BMW has improved... The 96 in Harley (1543 cc) is now rated at just over 60hp. The BMW R1200RT (1200 cc) is rated at 115 hp. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to come to conclusions....
That being said, I'm in the middle of building my next bagger with 200mm tire. The motor S&S 124 with all the bells and whistles. Don't know what makes us Harley people so damned hard headed, but I'm one of them.
