Concord Motorsports of Concord NH has a DEMO. The general manager's name is Roger.
He is a good guy. He is ALWAYS asking me to try a GW. No thanks. I'm too old to learn a foreign language.

seems like you have never owned a GW. Harley is superior to GW. I had a Wing,,,,,,,was happy to get rid of it.

You guys can make all the hard core Harley owner cracks you want... GW is FAR superior to anything Harley can put up for the serious road rider. Sorry... that's the real truth guys. Like many of you, I say "so what", my RKC is what I want; shakes, bumps, noise etc. Will I ever swap...no, but I know they're the best.

As a Harley enthusiast for over 20 years, I have enjoyed the wrenching as much as the riding. My 99 Road King has over 114k miles. Yes, I ride. Three years ago I doubled my commute and now work downtown DC. I bought a BMW RT for the task. You guys that "think" the Honda is the greatest obviously haven't been on the RT. My wife HATES the BMW, HATES the ride, HATES the style, HATEs the ergonomics, etc. But if you are looking for high tech touring the Beemer may be a better choice. Too bad Harley didn't learn from BMW. The boxer has been around since the 20s. Like Harley, the same basic configuration still exists. Unlike Harley, BMW has improved... The 96 in Harley (1543 cc) is now rated at just over 60hp. The BMW R1200RT (1200 cc) is rated at 115 hp. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to come to conclusions....
That being said, I'm in the middle of building my next bagger with 200mm tire. The motor S&S 124 with all the bells and whistles. Don't know what makes us Harley people so damned hard headed, but I'm one of them.
I'm sure this explains why I saw so many BMW's up in the Rockies. My stage1 RKC, riding two up with loaded saddle bags and a full T-Bag was sucking wind up in the higher elevations.

If you haven't been here yet trythe forum link below and see what you can find out. I had a 2004 GW and it would be the bike I would want if I intended to spend a lot of time riding a lot of miles cross country. No H-D like soul but it has power and comfort for those long rides (400+ miles as day). Pretty much trouble free and they are built in Ohio.

What happen to the original poster? Seems to me like he should be asking this question on the Gold Wing board.

I've gotta go with dave on this one, I've owned4 Wings, and didn't have a problem with them, Yea, smoothe ride, smoothe shifting... Shouldn't it be that way?
Harley is killing itself with next year design fixes, and forget about the "problem ones"... I bought Harley because of (I thought) re-sell value.. but took a tremendous hit on two trades within a year.. But I finally "got it" on being a Harley Owner, Your Golden till they think you've wised up, then they know your
on to there chit.. or they think your outa money...

What's in your Wallet!...

Oh and If you own a Harley or a Hondabetter learn do the wrenching yourslf, Because that's where the've got you...

A Harley- Davidson is exactly what it's supposed to be, and there are some people that do not have what it takes to handle that. You know, theyare just not Harley- Davidson material.
I suppose Gold Wings are what they are supposed to be too, a sedan on two wheels. In my opinion they look like something from a Japanese science- fiction "B" movie and they sound like they haveelectric motors. Not my idea of a motorcycle.
Besides that, why would someone seek advice about a Japanese 2 wheeled sedan on a Harley- Davidson Website?
