Default Wiring tricks for passing lamps

I added the auxillary lamps to my Road King . I'm using 3/16 vinyl tubing similar to the factory wiring insulation to cover the wires. 3/16 is the smallest ID I can use but the OD won't won't go into the stud of the passing lamps. I'm curious if anyone has any tricks for covering up the stud where the wire comes out ? I am not installing turn signals below the passing lamps..

My exposure is limited, but I have never seen the vinyl cover inside the stud on any Harley. On my Road Kings, it stops at the joint at the bottom of that passing light and the top of the turn signal assembly bolted to it. As suggested above, I suspect that shrink tubing is your only option and there is no guaranty that will work.
