Default Yet another exhaust question... different though!

I want to get some Rush mufflers for some extra noise and looks. Don't really care about added power. Also want to make it run cooler, so I will be adding a PCIII. My question is this; can I just add the slip-ons without the A/C? Every map I have seen is based on the SE Stage 1 w/ the mufflers. It seems that the more air you have coming in, the leaner the bike will run. Couldn't you use less gas by changing mufflers and not the A/C? Thanks in advance.

I just picked up my 08 Anniv. Road GLide yesterday and had the 1.75 Rush slip on's put on without any other mods. The A/C was not touched. Granted you have an 07 but I think it should work. You may even not need the PC III.

Well I want to be as obnoxious as possible, so I am thinking of getting the 2.5". Plus, the bike runs hot already (of course).

Although I am not absolutely sure, I'm sure someone with more knowledge will pipe in. Nevertheless, I believe you can go as big as the 2.0 without remapping or air filter. If you go to the 2.5, I understand you will need the remapping (or a sert, etc.) and the increased air flow.

I put on a set of Rush 2.0 slip-ons about a month ago. Prior to putting them on I spoke with several shop guys plus posted the same question on here. I got the same response from every one, "You don't have to do anything else as long as you don't change the A/C and don't go bigger than the 2.0". I've put on about 600 mls. withthem on without any problems. Hope this helps.

You could do that but I would call jamie at fuelmoto and see if he has a map for that setup, otherwise you will need to have it tuned by a dynojet tuning center. A/C puts more air in which boosts HP and Torque thats why its unusual for somebody to leave off the A/C upgrade. More air in is where free flowing muffs come into play getting that air out.

You can.... BUT if your going to invest in the RUSH & PCIII why wouldn't you spend another $107.00 and & finish the Stage 1??? Then you'll Get the SOUND - COOLER & PERFORMANCE...

Or if $$$$ is the thing... Drop the PCIII and put on a V&H FuelPak... Then the $$$ would be just about the same out of pocket??
