With fob in close proximity, turn on ignition, then pull main fuse. Turn off ignition. Replace battery. Replace fuse. Turn on ignition…have a beer.

Only necessary if the bike has a siren.

The reason the fob must be close when disconnecting the battery is because it is a security system.

If simply disconnecting the battery would disable the siren, it wouldn`t be much of a security system...

Only if the battery in your siren is bad. Can tell by number of chirps. I went years without knowing there was a battery in there. Will now replace every time I have rear tire off.

It looks like one of your connectors is missing. There should be two on there.
