Default Console Insert

I have a 2000 FLHT which I ordered an awesome billet console insert for. I wantedto replace the dull blackfactory insert.

Isthe new insertsuppose to glue in, bolt in, or what? There is nothing on the back of the new insert at all such as a self adhesive pad.

Default RE: Console Insert

It appears that the HD Tank / Console inserts come with a self adhesive backing. Since my new custom insert doesn't have one, then would clear silicon or something like that be best to adhere it?

You can use clear silicone. I used gorilla glue on the one I put on my 04
